Comprehend raises $8.4m Series A led by Sequoia Capital
July 11th, 2013
We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Sequoia Capital, who share our vision for transforming medicine by dramatically streamlining today’s cumbersome clinical trial information systems. Sequoia’s tremendous track record of helping to build enduring companies speaks for itself, and we are excited to be in business with them.
Going forward, we will be working to deepen the traction we already have with our cloud-based, real time insights and analysis platform. We are committed to helping life science companies leverage their data in order to get safer and better treatments and diagnostic tools into the hands of patients more quickly. We do this by providing every stakeholder involved with a clinical trial the actionable insights they need, when they need it. In the coming months, we will be improving our current features, building new ones, and bringing Comprehend to a larger audience.
This raise is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Comprehend team, and we’re just getting started!
As part of our partnership with Sequoia, we are excited to welcome partner Warren Hogarth to our board. We’ve had the chance to get to know Warren over the past several months, and he has shown himself to be extremely smart, thoughtful and helpful, and we are looking forward to working closely together.
We would like to thank all who have helped us for the past 3+ years, including family, friends, and our tremendous investors and advisors. A special thanks to Paul Graham and David Lee, who we can confidently say are the best and most helpful technology angel investors we’ve had the opportunity to work with. We also greatly appreciate the invaluable enterprise software expertise of Aaron Levie and Kirill Sheynkman.
We are excited about what’s next for Comprehend, and we are looking forward to working closely with Warren and the rest of the unparalleled team at Sequoia going forward. Now, back to work for us!
